This is the beginning.
I've been meaning to start writing for a while now. Not because I think I have all the answers — but because writing forces you to think clearly, and I want to think more clearly.
Why write?
A few reasons:
- Thinking out loud. Writing is thinking. The act of putting ideas into words exposes the gaps in your understanding. It's a debugging tool for your brain.
- Building in public. I spend most of my time building software. Writing about the process — the decisions, the tradeoffs, the failures — feels like the right thing to do.
- Connecting dots. My path has been unusual. Beijing, Buenos Aires, Tokyo, Silicon Valley. Computer Science and Philosophy. I've picked up perspectives along the way that I want to make sense of.
What to expect
I'll write about:
- Software engineering — systems design, AI/ML in production, the craft of building
- Startups — founding engineer life, 0-to-1 product development, moving fast
- Ideas — philosophy, technology, what it means to build things that matter
No schedule. No pressure. Just writing when something feels worth saying.
More soon.
